she owns a piece of my heart!
One of the first things I told Hubby when he picked me up from the airport was, "I'm in love with a 3 week old little girl!" He just smiled and said, "I know." I spent the last few days visiting my brand-spanking new niece in sunny Arizona and I am absolutely in love with her. She's the most beautiful, sweetest baby EVER! (I'm not bias of course ;-) ) Here are a few images I took:

Stephanie and Jason
Mid-60's, wisps of clouds in the sky - it was a PERFECT day for Stephanie and Jason's engagement session at the Williams Water Wall.
This is a good depiction of how almost every engagement session begins - couples are uncomfortable (especially the guys), don't know how to act in front of the camera, etc. They know WHAT they would like their pictures to look like but are unsure of HOW to get them to look that way. That's where I come in! Take a look at the first image on the left. Stephanie and Jason didn't know what to do except look at the camera. Because of this, their posture was stiff and didn't reflect their personalities at all. Then, I told them to look at each other and just start talking. Look what happened! Relaxed, portraits that truly reflect who they are. (two right images)

Once the ice was broken, it was pretty easy to shoot since they were more at ease with the camera.

I LOVE backlight!

Stephanie is a giggler. Once she starts laughing she doesn't stop!

I'll be shooting their wedding in March and I cannot wait - it's going to be ALOT of fun.
